How does the treatment work

48 hours before the treatment you should avoid drinking any alcohol. On the day of the procedure, a thin, sterilised needle is used to inject the botulinum toxin into the muscle band along your lower face, jaw, and neck about a half inch apart. The toxin will then diffuse down gradually into the muscle.

This type of procedure will typically require multiple injections, but it only lasts around 15 minutes. If you are concerned about pain or discomfort, a topical anaesthetic or ice can numb the treatment area.
